Tobia Scarpa was an architect. He graduated at the University of Venice. His cooparation with Venini started in 1958. He developed new colours and techincs for glass procesing. With his wife Afra he founded a design studio. Their work is exibited in the most important museums in the world. In the Museum of modern art in New York are some of their best designs - couch Bastiano, bed Vanessa, armchair 925 and the vases from the series Occhi in red colour. The vases Occhi can also be seen in our gallery. |
