Paolo Venini (1895-1959), a lawyer from Milan, inherited the love
for glass from his forfathers who also had glass works. In the year
1921 he came to Venice and etntered the world of glass disign, first
with a partner-Giacomo Cappellini, and in five years time he continued
alone in his company Vetri Soffiati Muranesi Venini&Co.
Venini opened the doors for young designers and artists-with that
he succeed to reinstall the reputation of Murano glass in the world.
His work is known for its pure forms which give the impresion of
modern and clasical at the same time. Such are also the vases Incisi
which can be seen in our gallerie.
