Fulvio Bianconi (born in 1915) has started attending the secondary
school for design in Venice at the age of nine. Later he graduated at
the Art academy of Venice. Under the guidence of Michaela Pinta he
designed glass figurines which were already very refined and obtained
a very high price at Salviatis.
At that time Fulvio Bianconi started to get involved with
caricature, his second passion after glass. He joined his father, who
was a musician in Grand hotel in Opatija and started to draw
caricatures. After that he moved to Milano, where he designed
show-windows. He coopareted with prestigeus companys, designed vases
and worked as a graphic designer for big publishing companys
(Mondadori, Garzanti, Rizzoli...).
After the second world war the meeting with Paolo Venini lead to a
magnificent colaboration with the greatest glass-masters as are Ermete
and Boboli.
All of his work has already incorporated the expectation and
opurtunitiy that the product offers. Usualy he started with certain
design but in the end something completly different was made. He
alvays pointed out the special qualitys of glass. The shine,
translucence, colour...
In our gallery you can see a vase from the colection Pezzati.
"The pieces that did not came out as they should, are usualy
the most beutiful."
