"I never start a project as a spiritual beginner. Each work requres a long mental endeaavour. It may take years of spiritual exploring. And consulting before I can tackle a project. Only then do the elements of a structure emerge. The designed form is this the last step just like putting a dress on a body."

He designes a great variety of articles made of natural materials - be it a glass or a Venetic horse - and in the process of creating new forms he uses the vast knowledge he has acquired. Through long years of studying ancient cultures such ass that of Egypt, Aztec, Etruscanm Jewish, Venetic and the vedas. His works can be seen in fifty prestigious museums and permanent collection all over the world.

He lives and works in Miren, near Nova Gorica, his birth place. He graduated in Industrial Design from the Instituto Statale d'Arte in Venice. He then worked as an assistant st the Instituto and collaborated with major Furnishing Company in Nova Gorica until 1970. In 1971 he began working as free-lance designer. Between 1972 and 1975 he taught Industrial Designa at Florence's Universita Internazionale and in Venece, where he is still visiting professor.
